About this Course

This course is a continuation of Tajweed studies, transitioning students from theoretical knowledge to practical mastery through structured Recitation (hifz) of the Qur’an. Beginning from the end of the Mushaf, students will develop a disciplined approach to memorizing one page per week while maintaining high standards of tajweed and fluency. The course emphasizes consistency, retention, and the proper application of tajweed rules in recitation. Students will engage with the Qur’an daily, building a strong connection through repetition, reflection, and correction. The goal is not only to memorize, but to preserve the Qur’an accurately and recite it with confidence, precision, and reverence. By the end of the course, students will have established a sustainable hifz routine and strengthened their relationship with the Qur’an as a central part of their daily life.

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Memorize a minimum of 8-9 pages of the Qur’an with accuracy and consistency.
  2. Recite memorized portions with correct application of tajweed rules.
  3. Demonstrate fluency in transitioning between memorized pages.
  4. Maintain previously memorized portions through structured revision.
  5. Identify and correct common tajweed mistakes during recitation.
  6. Establish a consistent daily routine for Recitation and revision.
  7. Recite confidently in front of others with clarity and proper pronunciation.
  8. Show discipline and commitment in preserving the words of Allah.
  9. Develop a stronger personal connection with the Qur’an through regular engagement.

Imam Hassan Abdulrahman is a Qur’an educator and institution builder based in Saskatoon, Canada. He holds multiple ijazat in Qiraʾat and is completing full certification in all ten, along with Hadith training. With over 15 years of experience, he has mentored youth, founded madrasah programs serving 200+ students, and currently teaches at i3 Institute while establishing a Qur’an Institute to train the next generation of Qur’an-centered leaders.
