About this Course

The art of reciting the Qur’ān with proper pronunciation and intonation is mandatory for every Muslim. This course caters to both beginners and those looking to refine their Tajweed skills.

Learn to recite the Qur’ān as it was revealed to Rasūlullāh صلى الله عليه وسلم through Jibreel (a) from Allāh جل جلاله. Students will master the theoretical rules of Tajweed and more importantly master enunciations through practical sessions with personalized feedback. The course follows the classical *matn* *Tuḥfat al-Aṭfāl* by Sh. Sulaiman al-Jamzūrī (r) as a comprehensive guide for mastering proper recitation.

The course covers essential components including the rules of nūn and meem sākin, mudūd, ṣifāt al-ḥuroof, and qalqalah.

Instructors

Imam Hassan Abdulrahman

Religious Director & Imam at Saskatoon Dawah & Community Center (SDCC) for over four years, with 15+ years of Islamic teaching experience. An accomplished Qur’an reciter, he has competed in international Qur’an competitions and is currently advancing his studies in Shariah, pursuing isnaad in Hadīth sciences. He currently holds ijazaat in two qira’āt, Asim and Ibn Kathir and is pursuing ijazah in Ten Qira’at. Alongside his religious scholarship, he is also pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
